The story of modde
Award-Winning Acoustics with Furniture-Grade Style.
Horacio Malvicino is an award-winning acoustician whose expertise has made him the go-to designer and integrator for the world’s biggest artists and studios. Until now, his acoustic panels were available exclusively through his custom design services.
Horacio co-founded Modde with the desire to make premium room acoustics more accessible. Calling on more than 35 years of design improvements based on mathematics, listening, and client feedback, he designed Modde Acoustics: a line of sound panels with a furniture-grade build and clean aesthetics that will transform any space into an optimal acoustic environment.
Performance
Adding proper acoustic treatment flattens frequency responses, minimizes phase issues, and enhances your room’s ambience. In a listening environment, it will reveal unheard details on familiar tracks and improve overall clarity. When mixing, sound becomes more open and transparent, providing assurance that placement and volume decisions will faithfully translate to other mediums. In the tracking room, better acoustics means the ‘reach’ of microphones will enhance your recordings rather than introduce issues you’ll have to fix later.
Aesthetics
Modde panels are designed and built with an attention to detail that harkens back to the golden age of furniture design. Each panel is handcrafted in our workshop using sustainably sourced hardwood veneers and acoustically transparent fabrics, which are available in a wide range of finishes, colors, and patterns. Inspired by classic fabric-walled studios, Modde absorption panels are designed with our EasyTrak fabric system, making it simple to swap colors or patterns whenever your studio could use a change.
